The month of May brings many exciting events for the entire family, including Main Street Days – A Pizza Experience May 13, 14, and 15. This is the perfect to way to kick-off your summer!

Royal Wedding Event

May 1, 12 p.m. – British Car Show

Celebrate the Royal Wedding with a watching party. On Friday, enjoy complimentary breakfast, tea and British banger and bacon sandwiches while watching the royal nuptials. On Saturday, there will be a Prince William and Kate Middleton look-a-alike contest with great prizes.  There will also be the “Best of British Food and Drink” promotion, with complimentary tea, wedding cake, British bakery items and goodie bags.

Relay For Life Day in Grapevine
Cross Timbers Middle School, 2301 Pool Road
April 29 & 30, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back. Teams of citizens will walk the track all night in
the Grapevine Relay For Life to be held at Cross Timbers Middle School. Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate has also declared April 29 as “Relay for Life in Grapevine Day.”���  The goal of the event is to celebrate our survivors, remember those lost to cancer and to fight back to find a cure by raising funds and awareness. Last year, over $105,000 was raised in Grapevine for the American Cancer Society.

Fridays on the Farm
Nash Farm, 626 Ball St.
May 6 & 20, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Tractor Rides $1 per person

Enjoy a day of play and discovery at the farm. The farm will be open on the above mornings to the public. Come and chat with the chickens, dig in the dirt, ride a tractor and play with heritage toys!

Friday Fun Trains
Grapevine Vintage Railroad, 705 S. Main St.

Grapevine Vintage Railroad loves kids! These are a short, fun, sample of our regular train runs and an educational experience for schools and organizations! Your 60-minute trip will depart at 10 a.m. from the Grapevine Train Depot.

First Friday Film Series – “Topkapi
Theatre, 300 S. Main St.

Enjoy the historic Palace Theatre with these movies perfect for the entire family. Watch these great classic movies on the big screen. Come early and make it dinner and a movie by having dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants before the movie.

National Train Day

National Train Day in America is a day set aside to recognize the importance of trains in the growth and settlement of this great nation. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad celebrates this day by offering discount tickets on the Grapevine-to-Fort Worth Stockyards Run and the Trinity River Run.

Mother’s Day Train

Make Mom’s Day on the train. Treat Mom to a fun-filled day, Moms ride free when accompanied by a paid family member. Moms will be registered for a prize drawing on the Grapevine-to-Fort Worth Run and the Trinity River Run.

Celebrate one of America’s favorite foods accompanied by bountiful sides of live music, family fun, carnival rides, midway games and much, much more.  At the Pizza Piazza, sample fresh-baked pizzas from many of Grapevine’s restaurants and vote for your favorite. Southlake’s DFW Performing Arts Conservatory is hosting “SNL – Sunday Night Live” for their end-of-year performance. The students will be acting out skits from past and present SNL shows with a few twists of their own. There will also be live dance and musical performances.

Friday Fireworks
Lake Grapevine
May 27, 9:30 p.m.

Come out for a fun-filled evening in Grapevine and a 12-minute fireworks display taking place over beautiful Lake Grapevine. Best viewing locations are your favorite lake parks or on top of the parking garage at the Gaylord Texan Resort for the Garage Rock Out Party.  A DJ will be on hand to get the party started with your favorite tunes, games and giveaways, not to mention provide the perfect soundtrack for the big show!
Tractors, Trucks and Heavy Equipment

Wander through equipment, new and old, that is used to make jobs easier, faster and more efficient. Classic farm tools to modern tractors will be on display and will be demonstrated at the farm. Hands-on opportunities abound for the curious!
