SEA LIFE Grapevine

The two-story, 45,000-square-foot aquarium has over 5,000 sea creatures, including starfish, sharks and stingrays. Also, creatures native to freshwater and coastal habitats of Texas are on display. The centerpiece of the aquarium is an ocean tank with a walk-through underwater tunnel so you can feel like you’re in the ocean with the sea life! The aquarium is enjoyable for people of all ages and offers many unique opportunities including guided tours and feeding demonstrations.

Beat the weekend rush by taking the Grapevine Vintage Railroad on Thursdays! Regular train service is offered four days a week in the summer months.  Start your vacation earlier in the week and enjoy the train.

Fridays on the Farm
Nash Farm, 626 Ball St.
June 3 & 17, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
$1 per person for tractor rides

Enjoy a day of play and discovery at the farm. The farm will be open to the public on the above mornings. Come and chat with the chickens, dig in the dirt, ride a tractor and play with heritage toys!

Friday Fun Trains

Grapevine Vintage Railroad loves kids! These are a short, fun, sample of our regular train runs and an educational experience for schools and organizations! Your 60-minute trip will depart at 10 a.m. from the Grapevine Train Depot.

Come out for a fun-filled evening in Grapevine and a 12-minute fireworks display taking place over beautiful Lake Grapevine. Best viewing locations are your favorite lake parks or on top of the parking garage at the Gaylord Texan Resort for the Garage Rock Out Party. A DJ will be on hand to get the party started with your favorite tunes, games and giveaways, not to mention provide the perfect soundtrack for the big show!

Each juror reveals his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Rated PG.

Great Train Robberies

This summer, some locals will tell you, “it ain’t safe to ride the train.” It’s all in fun though – enjoy the staged train robberies weekends beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day on the Grapevine to Fort Worth trip. Desperate desperados lurk just outside of Grapevine and put on a great show of wacky fun.

Edith’s Follies V Broadway Dreams
Palace Theatre, 300 S. Main St.

Performers will join together to show their talents at Edith’s Follies V, a traditional variety show that honors Dr. Edith Pewitt. The numbers selected for the show are from some of Dr. Pewitt’s favorite stage productions. This year, Broadway dreams will be discovered!

Treat Dad to a fun-filled Father’s Day on the train! Dads ride free when accompanied by a paid family member. Dads will also be registered for a prize drawing to return later in the summer and rob the train.

$1 per person for tractor rides

Learn where milk and cream come from by milking a cow or a goat. You’ll also get to churn your own butter! Learn all about dairy and take home some tasty recipes for dairy products.
