    Find your spot and stake a claim near Lake Grapevine for this 30-minute fireworks show! Be prepared to be astonished by the fireworks spectacular, which can be viewed from any lakeside location as well as several other spots throughout Grapevine. Admission is free at most viewing locations. Some parks along Lake Grapevine may charge a minimal admission fee. Download the patriotic-themed music to enhance your viewing.

    Train Hobbyists Scramble “All Aboard!” for Grapevine, Texas

    Hundreds of families who are toy train collectors and operators will travel to Grapevine for a week of fun with Lionel trains during the convention of the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA). The gathering is their way of celebrating what they consider the world’s greatest hobby.

    A major attraction will be open to the public without charge Wednesday morning through Saturday afternoon of convention week in the lobby of the host hotel — a 10×48-feet fully scenicked train layout sponsored by Lionel LLC. It’s as big as a four-stall garage.

    The public will be welcome at the Train Show on Saturday, July 30, in the host hotel. The Trading Hall will contain about 150 tables filled with model trains, parts, and hobby accessories for sale. Kids under age 18 will be admitted to the train show free if accompanied by an adult paying $5 admission.

    10 a.m – Fun Run – This short trip departs from Grapevine and returns an hour later. Tickets start at $8.

    1 p.m. – The Grapevine-to-Stockyards ride takes you to Fort Worth, where you can explore this Historic Stockyards. Watch out for the train robbers during your ride!
