GrapeFest, A Wine Experience, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the best of Texas wines on September 15, 16, 17 and 18. Festival goers will enjoy award-winning wines perfectly paired with culinary treats at the largest wine festival in the Southwest. This year, a special focus on Australian wines and culture livens up the action, while the festival’s trademark activities continue: People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic – the largest consumer-judged wine competition in the nation, Culinary Pavilion, GrapeFest Golf Classic, KidZone presented by Baylor Regional Medical Center of Grapevine, GrapeStomp presented by Chrysler Group, six stages of live entertainment and much more!

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary GrapeFest, a Champagne Brunch will be held as a special celebration. Located in the ever-pleasant Weem’s Alley between the Palace Theatre and City Hall, the brunch is catered by Main Street Bistro & Bakery. There are two options for your enjoyment.  Brunch tickets can be purchased in advance. Tickets can also be purchased at the event. The buffet will include pastries, fruits, hot and cold breakfast items, brunch specialties, an omelet station, mimosas, champagne and Australian Sparkling will also be available. You won’t want to miss this special champagne brunch.  Festival admission is an additional cost.

GrapeFest Golf Classic

Includes breakfast, golf cart, range balls, lunch, prizes and awards. Contact Grapevine Golf Course at 817-410-3377 to register or visit the Grapevine Golf Course at 3800 Fairway Drive to register in person. The deadline for registration will be 5:00 p.m. on September 2.  The GrapeFest Golf Classic is produced by the Grapevine Golf Course and proceeds benefit the Grapevine Historical Society’s new museum, which when complete will resemble the former Grapevine Ice House.

You will not want to miss a couple of special displays this year. “A Different Direction” will feature two unique Fiats. One is an 850 Spider with a 124 engine stuffed in the rear; the other is a mildly customized early 124 Spider with A/C and a hot 2 liter engine. Both cars are being presented as ‘works in progress’. The other is an ‘Americana’ Lamborghini Diablo display featuring 3 magnificent Diablos – one red, one white and one blue. Both displays are wonderful photo ops!

Admission is free, along with plenty of free parking. While at the show, food and drink will be available for purchase.

Vintners’ Auction Classic – Palace Arts Center

Returned to the Lancaster Theatre inside the festival gates during the festivities, the Vintners’ Auction Classic, benefiting the Texas Wine & Grape Grower’s Association and the Grapevine Heritage Foundation, is a new twist on an old classic. With hotel packages, wine dinners, vineyard tours and trips to exciting destinations, you’ll definitely want to be the high bidder. This live and silent auction will give you the opportunity to bid on an array of rare items and amazing packages.

Adding to the fun is the all new Bubbles & Baubles. 100 glasses of Australian Sparkling will be sold for $50 each. Each glass will hold a one carat sparkling gem. The gems can be authenticated at Bermuda Gold & Silver on 404 S. Main St. One will be a genuine diamond.

Tickets are $20 online in advance. After Wednesday Sept. 14, at 11:59 p.m. tickets can be purchased at the door for $25.
